Free Dental Care Available at Moreno Valley College

A healthy smile shouldn’t come at a high cost. At Moreno Valley College, it doesn’t. The Dental Hygiene Clinic at MVC’s Dental Education Center provides free preventive and therapeutic dental services to all Riverside Community College District students and community members of all ages.

Under the supervision of licensed professionals, MVC dental hygiene students deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while gaining hands-on experience that prepares them to serve the community with skill and confidence.

Services include:
      • Routine cleanings (prophylaxis)
      • X-rays
      • Deep cleanings with local anesthesia
      • Oral cancer screenings
      • Fluoride treatments
      • Sealants
      • Antimicrobial irrigation
      • Nutritional counseling
      • Smoking cessation support
      • Medical history reviews and vital sign assessments

“Maintaining good oral health is vital to overall systemic health,” said Nicole Snitker, director of MVC’s Dental Hygiene Program. “By increasing awareness of the free services available on campus, we aim to support both student wellness and academic success.”

The clinic’s impact is already significant. To date, MVC students have provided care to 15,000 patients. In California, about 33.8% of low-income adults did not see a dentist in 2022 and roughly 46.8% of children did not receive such care in 2023. By providing free services, the MVC Dental Hygiene Clinic helps ease that burden for local families while giving students essential real-world training.

Appointments are available at the MVC Dental Education Center. To schedule a visit or learn more, call (951) 571-6431 or email dentalhygiene@mvc.edu.
