Inland Empire APEX Accelerator Generates $909.9 Million in Federal Contract Awards

The Inland Empire APEX Accelerator, powered by Riverside Community College District, continues to demonstrate a significant return on investment and measurable economic impact across Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. During Fiscal Year 2026 (May 1, 2025, through April 30, 2026), the center supported businesses in securing 4,858 federal contracts totaling more than $909.9 million in contract value. Of those awards, 4,309 defense-related contracts accounted for more than $814.7 million, directly contributing to the Department of Defense industrial base and strengthening national security supply chains. These efforts were achieved with a lean but highly impactful team dedicated to expanding opportunities for small businesses throughout the Inland Empire.
Beyond contract awards, the Inland Empire APEX Accelerator delivered 914 counseling hours, hosted 19 training events and helped support the creation of 1,112 jobs throughout the region. With combined federal funding and RCCD matching support totaling $628,292, the center generated an impressive return on investment of $1,559 for every $1 invested.
The program’s impact extends far beyond numbers alone by helping businesses navigate complex government procurement processes, compete for federal opportunities, strengthen compliance readiness and position themselves for long-term growth within the government marketplace. Through strategic partnerships, targeted outreach and individualized technical assistance, the Inland Empire APEX Accelerator continues to play a vital role in driving economic development, innovation and defense readiness across the region.
