RCCD Safe Return Update - Sept.
09/09/2020
Dear Student,
This is a challenging year, but your educational success remains important to this District and its colleges. As the fall semester continues, I wanted to reach out to share the District's plans for a safe, productive and optimistic future.
I encourage you to keep learning and continue pursuing your educational goals. Think
about the reasons for your educational journey. Do you want to create a better life
for yourself? Do you want to advance your career? Do you want to be a good role model
for your family and community? Try to focus on your end goals and get support to help
you succeed. I urge you to seek assistance from our staff in order to ensure the timely
completion of your studies.
Fall Term
In October, the colleges begin eight-week courses for the second half of the fall semester. It is not too late to add these courses to your schedule. Please check your student email regularly for important information.
Online resources are provided here for Moreno Valley College, Norco College and Riverside City College. You can access comprehensive student support at your home by phone or on the Internet.
Our faculty and staff are deeply committed to working with and supporting our students.
Please, reach out and communicate with your instructors about any course concerns,
and pay attention to meeting times and other course requirements.
Winter & Spring Terms
If you are currently taking fall classes, you will receive a registration date automatically. If you are not taking fall classes, you will need to reapply to the college in order to register for winter/spring.

Keeping You Safe
Before arriving on campus, everyone must access the RCCD Symptoms Checker on our RAVE Guardian App or online.
Please note: We are requiring anyone with COVID-19 symptoms, or those who have been exposed to someone diagnosed with the COVID-19, to stay at home until cleared by their doctors and through Student Health Services.
If you do visit a campus and test positive for COVID-19 or interact with someone who tests positive, please send an email to Covidreporting@rccd.edu and provide a list of onsite labs, classes and offices visited. You will be contacted by a member of your College's Student Health Services department for further information.
If you need to quarantine, please contact your instructors and follow their instructions to continue your coursework.
District and college staff have worked tirelessly to ensure the campus is clean and labs and workplaces sanitized. Testing of air and water systems has been addressed and systems upgraded as needed. Remember, it is not possible to create an entirely risk-free environment, however, we all have an obligation to do our part. Safety and student success remain our highest priorities. You are encouraged to check our website at rccd.edu/return for the most up-to-date information and for access to our safe return guidelines and COVID-19 Prevention Plan.
Your college education is important. Stay engaged. Keep going. Please, look out for one another and remember the District's
Culture of Care values — inclusiveness, excellence, innovation, collegiality, stewardship
and heritage. Together, we can make the most of the opportunities before us. I have
great confidence in your abilities and hope in your educational path to the future.
Sincerely,
Wolde-Ab Isaac, Ph.D.
Chancellor, RCCD
