Join RCCD students and California Secretary of State Alex Padilla on Thursday, October 1 for a virtual townhall to discuss access & equity, voter registration and the College Ballot Bowl. The moderator of the event will be Telemundo 52 Morning News Anchor Guillermo Ochoa.
In recent history many voices have been absent on voting day, primarily among those who are less advantaged due to racial and class barriers. Repairing voting gaps isn't a means to sway support one way or another, it is simply a way to ensure that everyone is heard and enjoying the benefits of America's democracy. This townhall is a way to encourage our youth that their voices matter in the democratic process.
