Bridging Online Learning and Hands-On Experience: RCCD Hosts Distance Education, CTE, and EV Gide Collaborative Car Show

Riverside Community College District is excited to host the Distance Education, CTE, and EV Gide Collaborative Car Show on April 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Riverside City College. This innovative event will connect Distance Education students with hands-on learning, career opportunities, and emerging industry trends.
Online students often miss out on the sense of community that comes with being on campus. This event is designed to change that—offering a welcoming space for Distance Education students to connect with classmates, instructors, and college support services.
Through live demonstrations and industry partnerships, attendees will see firsthand how concepts learned in online classrooms apply to high-demand fields like clean energy and EV technology. Whether they’re considering a career change or looking to enhance their current skill set, students will gain valuable insight into new and emerging career pathways.
Many Distance Education students juggle work, family, and school. By inviting them to this event, RCCD reaffirms its commitment to equity and inclusion—ensuring all students, regardless of how they learn, have access to career resources, industry connections, and academic support.
In addition to career-focused exhibits, the event will feature information on student success services, including tutoring, technology tools, career advising, and transfer opportunities.
