Information About Local Measure CC

On November 5, 2024, voters passed Measure CC – the Riverside Community College District Career Preparation, Affordable Higher Education Measure.

Measure CC is a $954M community investment that will fund:

  • New facilities at Moreno Valley College (including the Ben Clark Training Center), Norco College, and Riverside City College
  • Renovation and/or demolition of RCCD’s oldest buildings that will result in the removal of asbestos, mold and lead paint; upgrades to outdated electrical wiring, gas and sewer lines; repairs to leaky roofs; and improvements in earthquake safety
  • New RCCD facilities in Corona and Jurupa Valley
  • Upgrades to modernize classrooms and labs
  • Local projects, and allow the District to pursue matching state funding

This investment in RCCD will pay huge dividends toward the economic vitality of this region. We will have a more educated workforce that is prepared for the growth and opportunities that are coming. More people from the diverse populations living in this area will have access to a higher education than ever before - ensuring social justice and equity - and facilitating the emergence from poverty to prosperity for those who have traditionally been disadvantaged.

It will allow our colleges to upgrade career programs and partnerships with local employers, so students are prepared for today’s in-demand careers in nursing and healthcare, police, firefighting, construction trades, social work, teaching, technology, engineering, and more.
