The RCCD Safety and Police Department employs Peace Officers, Community Service Coordinators, Community Service Aides, and Administrative Staff.
The department provides law enforcement services to our three colleges (Moreno Valley, Norco, Riverside), District offices as well as several offsite education centers. Community Service Aides perform regular, non-emergency duties including: parking enforcement, traffic control, monitoring of RCCD functions and special events; public escorts; securing parking lots and buildings; and special assignments.
We have Memorandums of Understanding with the Riverside Police Department and Riverside County Sheriff's Department, which provide the department with assistance for incidents requiring specialized resources and expertise.
